Intermittent Fasting and Carbohydrates

Throughout my experiences one of the mistakes I had made early on was restricting carbs too much.  Little did I know that carbohydrates can be instrumental in maintaining post workout gains and helping testosterone levels stay where they should be.

You can run into some big problems maintaining muscle mass by restricting carbohydrates. Post workout you should consider eating some sweet potatoes and some other healthy carbohydrates. There is a shake here that I have tried myself over at https://draxe.com.

The shake is a variation of what Tim Ferris used in his book “The 4-Hour Body” in order to boost recovery and nearly double free testosterone levels. 2 times a day for about 3-4 months and this is a meal itself. I would recommend using a high quality whey protein.  As for the taste, I think it’s excellent if you follow the specific ingredients on the Dr. Axe site but I’ll be trying hemp protein in it as well to see how that works.  Good luck.
